Abstract
This study utilized the quantitative non-experimental descriptive research design. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. A modified and self-made questionnaire was utilized based on the Systems Theory of Betty Neuman and utilized the attention by Schepers (2016) as reference to formulate the questionnaire and to determine the factors affecting the attention span of the respondents during the conduct of HBALMs. Data was subjected to the following statistical treatments: a) frequency analysis, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Z-test, Mann-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-Wallis H-test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents were from the age group of 18-19 years old, were from the first year level and were females. all 268 respondents were living with their family during the implementation of HBALMs, 2) Majority of the factors have a perceived high effect on the attention span of nursing students during conduct of HBALMs, 3) There was no significant difference in the factors affecting the attention span during the conduct of HBALMs hen grouped according to age and year level. There was a significant difference in the factors affecting the attention span during the conduct of HBALMs when grouped according to sex.
