Abstract
This study utilized a non-experimental descriptive research design. This study involved 293 middle-aged adults from Barangay Sapa 2, Rosario, Cavite, aged 41 to 65 years old, able to read and write, willing to participate in the study, and may have or might have not used guyabano. Quota sampling method was utilized in choosing the respondents. A questionnaire based on books, journals and internet sources pertaining to Guyabano as herbal medicine was used in the study. Data was analysed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, f-test, and t-test. Majority of the middle-aged adult respondents in Barangay Sapa 2, Rosario, Cavite were female, elementary undergraduate, and have a month family income of PhP10, 000 and below. The middle-aged adults have a very good level of knowledge regarding guyabano as herbal medicine. There was no significant difference on the level of knowledge of middle-aged adults regarding guyabano as herbal medicine when they were grouped according to educational attainment, gender, and month family income.
