Abstract
Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) is considered one of rare malignancy with an incidence rate of 1 per million per year. A condition where there is a wide spread of mucinsecreting tumors within the abdominal cavity causing accumulation of mucin causing the "jelly-belly" condition. Due to its indolent course, it usually is undiagnosed until only during laparotomy. The management of PMP is still controversial since it is a choice between a less radical approach with a higher recurrence rate or a more radical approach with lesser recurrence rate. This is a case-report on a 53-year old woman who presented with hypogastric pain associated with enlargement of the abdomen and was managed with surgical removal and mucin drainage.
