Abstract
A cross-sectional questionnaire based study was conducted among 3rd year medical students of the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLHSI) with subsequent data analysis using SPSS Version 20. The study concluded that this study illustrated the KAP on antibiotics of the third year medical students of DLSHSI. While numerous efforts are being done to control AMR in the hospital setting, it is important to also engage medical students as future medical practitioners in the rational use of antibiotics. The results of the study can serve as guide for the College of Medicine in planning the appropriate approach in line with outcome-based education regarding principles of antimicrobial stewardship.
