Abstract
The study aims to determine the incidence of awareness with recall during surgical operation under general anesthesis at De La Salle University Medical Center. The study covered patients who underwent general anaesthesia for a period of 3 months. Based of the finding of the this study, the researcher concluded the following: 1) incidence of awareness among all subjects who underwent general anaesthesis at DLSUMC was 0.62%; 2) Incidence of awareness among trauma patients; 3) there was 0% incidence of awareness among subjects administered with isoflurane, propofol and dexmedetomidine while only 0.7% of subjects given sevoflurane experience awareness under general anaesthesia; 4) 99.4% of subjects given benzodiazepine did not experience awareness and only the remaining 0.6% reported awareness during general anaesthesia.
