Abstract
Gastric Antral Vascular Ectasia (GAVE) is a rare clinical disease but important cause of a recurrent severe upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) and iron deficiency anemia. It is responsible for about 4% non-variceal upper GI hemorrhage. This report highlights the importance of considering wide array of etiologies in patients presenting with UGIB. Furthermore, it illustrates the importance of endoscopic evaluation for patients presenting with UGB.
