Abstract
The study is to determine whether the degree of proteinuria based on routine urinalysis can accurately measure nephrotic-range proteinuria and evaluate if biochemical and microscopic factors on urinalysis can affect the level of proteinuria. It shows that the urine protein level based on routine dipstick study cannot measure the degree of quantitative proteinuria that is needed to support the diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome.
