Abstract

This is a case of a 17 day old, female, noted with palpable mass at left hemiabdomen upon delivery, without any other associated signs and symptoms. Initial impression was Willm's tumor. Laboratory examinations and imaging studies done showed that there was a retroperitoneal solid mass in the left hemiabdomen with mild dilatation of the upper pole calyceal systemof the left kidney. Patient then underwent exploratory laparotomy nephrectomy, and intraoperative finding was 5x5 cm tumor mid superior pole of left kidney. Histopatology revealed as mesoblastic nephroma with favorable histology.
