Abstract

This is a case of a 5-year-old male, Filipino, Catholic, residing at Cavite admitted at DLSUMS due to episodes of bloody diarrhea. Patient was initially treated as a case of acute gastroenteritis some dehydration. However, during the course of hospitalization, presented underwent subtotal colectomy, with ileostomy. Gross appearance revealed multiple perforations sparing the rectum, samples were sent for histopathology revealed transmural acute and chronic inflammation.
