A case report : laparoscopic unroofing of a giant hepatic cyst

Abstract

Laparoscopic surgery is an accepted treatment approach in giant hepatic cyst because it is safe, effective and minimally invasive. The purpose of this study is to describe a rare case of giant hepatic syst which was successfully treated with laparoscopic unroofing of the hepatic cyst. The patient presented with abdominal pain and a whole abdominal CT scan revealed a giant hepatic cyst. She underwent laparoscopic unroofing of the hepatic cyst with uneventful post-operative course.
