Peripheral neuroectodermal tumor of the abdominal wall with reconstruction using rectus abdominis muscle flap : a case report

Abstract
This report presents a case of a 21 year old female with a progressively enlarging mass on the abdomen. Diagnostic work ups revealed a PNET arising from an unusual location. A wide resection of the abdominal tumor was done with subsequent reconstruction of abdominal wall defect using composite mesh and rectus abdominis muscle flap. The patient was discharged and improved after 10 days of hospitalization wit intact anterior abdominal wall, no evidence of abdominal herniation and good graft take.
