Abstract

Uterine arteriovenous malformations are rare lesions with a considerable risk potential. Clinical presentation varies from no signs over various degree of menorrhagia to massive life-threatening vaginal bleeding. Arteriovenous in the pregnant uterus is very rare and may present with unexplained torrential bleeding. The report is a 28 years old, primigravid at 35 weeks age of gestation, with absence of the conventional risk factors and was saved from a possible death due to hemorrhage by ligation of bleeders upon Cesarean Section.
