Abstract
Online journal databases such as PUBMED, Medline, Google Scholar, Scielo, Herdin were searched for studies on sonographic morphology and Doppler characteristics of corpus luteum and pregnancy outcome. Risk of bias was assessed using Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool for non-randomized controlled trials studies of interventions (ROBINS-I). Meta analysis was done for the association of sonographic morphology and Doppler characteristics of corpus luteum and pregnancy outcome using Review Manager 5.4. The study concluded that the size of the corpus luteum does not affect pregnancy outcome due to the lack of correlation to the progesterone production during early pregnancy. However, the use of resistance index may be used as a promising predictor of first semester pregnancy outcome.
