Prevalence of albuminuria among newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes at De La Salle University Medical Center

Abstract
A total of 49 patients were initially screened. At the time of the study, 14 (29%) have pre-diabetes and 23 (47%) have Type 2 DM. Patients who have type 2 diabetes mellitus have a prevalence of microalbuminuria of 86% and patients with pre-diabetes have 23%.
