Abstract

The objective of the study is to determine the reliability and validity of the Tagalog version of PCAT-CAS in terms of content, concurrent, and construct validity. The Tagalog version of PACAT-CS has excellent reliability with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.91. Its content validity is good in which items were included from each of the domains of the original tool. The 3 criterion variables (cultural competency questions) showed a high correlation with the composite score, and all their p-values (< 0.05) were significant. Likewise, the analysis of construct validity via the factor analysis showed that all the items loaded sufficiently (communities>0.8). The instrument studied yielded reliable measurements, and the measurements appeared to have content, concurrent, and construct validity.
