Abstract

Numerous facets of a learning environment influence the way students learn and perform in class. Despite numerous studies about the potential impacts of a classroom environment on the educational experience of learners, most focused solely on the social aspects of a classroom, such as interpersonal interactions among the students and teachers. Knowing the importance of maximizing not just the social aspects of a classroom but also its physical components, this research aimed to study the Satisfaction Levels of Special Health Sciences Senior High School students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute of the Academic Year 2024-2025 towards their Classroom Ergonomics, as well as the potential impact of Seat Position on student satisfaction. In order to reach these goals, the researchers gathered quantitative data from 123 respondents using an online survey questionnaire asking of students' demographic profiles, perceptions of their classroom across different variables of Classroom Ergonomics, how satisfied they are with these conditions, and their seat position relative to the front of the class. Through descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing, the study revealed that the variables Seat Position and Lighting had the highest Satisfaction Levels among students. The other variables, being Temperature, Classroom Layout, and Noise, had Moderate Levels of Satisfaction. There was no correlation found between Seat Position and Satisfaction Levels with Classroom Ergonomics.
