Abstract
Digital learning resources have transformed education, especially in colleges and universities, where technology plays a key role in academic success. Tools such as online textbooks and interactive platforms make it easier for students to access information, stay engaged with their lessons, and track their academic performance through metrics like their General Weighted Average (GWA). These advancements have made learning more flexible and accessible, allowing students to use digital tools to improve their study habits and achieve better academic outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the usage of digital learning resources among students, particularly focusing on the majority of students who utilize these tools within specific durations and frequencies, and how this relates to their General Weighted Average (GWA). Information and data were collected through surveys of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) SHSSHS Grade 12 students, along with a collection of their GWA, to analyze and attain accurate findings. The majority of students preferred PowerPoint Presentations as their primary digital learning material, followed by educational publications. However, statistical analysis with a p-value of 0.0515, which slightly surpasses the standard threshold of 0.05, indicates insufficient evidence to conclude that digital learning resources have a significant relationship with the improvement of a student’s GWA. In conclusion, while digital learning resources are widely used and show potential in enhancing academic performance, this study suggests that their impact on improving GWA is not statistically significant. Further research is needed to explore this relationship in greater depth and across broader contexts.
