Abstract
With the prevalence of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines, the Department of Interior and Local Government has assigned the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) as the first line of defense against the viral disease of each barangay. This research aims to find out the level of compliance of the six selected Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams in Dasmarinas City, Cavite in preventing the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). To obtain the level of compliance, the proponents used an online form of their validated survey questionnaire in collecting, and a five-point Likert scale interpretation in analyzing the data. Reviewing the results collected, all of the six BHERTs were proven to be ‘highly compliant’ in following the functions mandated by the DILG, however, the research lacks related studies to support the results. As such, future researchers should recreate this study after a few years, preferably through interview. It would also be best if the future researchers will consider and understand the availability of the BHERT members based on the schedule of each member.
