Abstract
The content of this research paper is about the comparison between face-to-face and online classes as perceived by the Grade 12 STEM Allied Health students batch 2020-2021 of the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. Generally, this study aims to know the preferences of the students between face-to-face and online learning. Likewise, the study aims to know the key factors that affect the performances of the learners in the class. Looking at the objectives of this study, the researchers conducted this research to know the perception of the Grade 12 students regarding two-way learning. A questionnaire through Google Forms was answered by 120 Grade 12 Students to gather the data needed to determine the level of perceptions of the students about face-to-face and online classes with the use of non-probability sampling. The data gathered revealed that there is a significant difference between online classes, with a mean value of 3.17, and face-to-face classes, with a mean value of 4.06. Face-to-face classes have a higher rate of perception; however, the data were interpreted as Meets Expectations overall in terms of Social Interactivity, Academic Performance, and Learner’s Preference for both learning methods. This study concludes that the level of perception of face-to-face and online classes on the Grade 12 STEM Allied Health students are different from each other therefore, this research can be used as a basis to improve the use of different learning methods in the future.
