Abstract
The study applied a descriptive quantitative research wherein a total of 4 water samples from different water stations around the area of Dasmariñas, Cavite were used. Formaldehyde concentration was determined through a process called titration and with Sodium Thiosulfate (Na2S2O3) as the titrant and indicator. The level of formaldehyde on the water samples of different sources under constant factors were found low thus the level were up to 0.0307 M of concentration in a Liter or 3.07%. Under identical factors, the levels were below the acceptable limits which is 37% and below. Therefore, the amount of formaldehyde is in acceptable limits and will not cause harm to the consumers.
