Abstract
The study used a descriptive qualitative design. The participants were four (4) senior high school teachers who have experienced voice problems and were currently teaching in De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute selected using purposive sampling technique. A semi-structured interview comprising of three (3) open ended questions served as the research instrument. Thematic analysis was used to analyze data gathered through the interview. The study concluded that the participants described the quality of their work performance in negative terms. They admitted to resorting to the use of alternative and augmentative forms of communication to be able to preserve and lessen the need to exert the use of their voice.
