Abstract
The study was conducted primarily to find put the perceptions of students regarding college organizations of Radiologic technology in De La Salle University-Aguinaldo, Bagong Bayan, Dasmariñas, Cavite during the school year 1994-1995. Specifically, it sought to determine the greatest motivating factor of students in joining college organizations, the students' expectations on the contributions of their organizations to school development, the students' perceptions on the membership commitment to their organizations, importance of their organization, degree of stability of their organizations, level of organizations popularity, reasons for their organizations popularity, reasons for their organizations popularity, weaknesses of their organizations and performance of their organizations. The descriptive method was applied in the study using questionnaire checklist as the main data-gathering instrument. The statistical tools used where percentage and ranking. Based on the investigation, it can be concluded that personality development was the greatest motivating factor for the students to join school organizations. Peace and order was the students' primary expectation regarding the contribution of their organization to the school development. The main factor of the students' contribution to their organization was moral support. The members were committed their organizations knowing that these organizations are important. Furthermore, the respondents perceived their organizations as stable and popular because of their being academic oriented. For the male respondents, the main weakness of their organizations was that these consumed too much of their time while for the female, the main weakness was that the members were not united. However, both male and female members rated their college organizations' performance as good.
