Abstract
To determine the common errors committed by the radiologic technology interns SY 1995-1996 in radiology department at selected affiliated hospitals and their implications to radiologic technology instruction. Specifically, (1) To find out the different errors or negligence committed by the radiologic technology interns. (2) To determine the reasons why errors or negligence are committed by the radiologic technology interns. (3) To find out the implications of the errors committed by the radiologic technology interns to the rediologic technology instruction. The study was conducted at De La Salle University - Aguinaldo in Dasmariñas, Cavite. The total population of 100 radiologic interns and 100 registered radiologic technologists at selected affiliated hospitals were use as respondents. The descriptive survey method was utilized in the study. A simple close-ended questionnaire checklist was formulated by the researchers as the main tool for gathering data of the problem presented. The following are the conclusion of the study: (1) Among the different areas understudy, radiologic technology interns commit more error in exposure area. (2) The primary reasons why errors are committed by the radiologic technology interns were confusion in hospital systems and lack of skill/experience regarding radiographic procedures. (3) The errors committed by the radiologic technology interns had less negative implications to radiologic technology instruction, since the study showed that radiologic technology interns committed errors are scaled sometimes and rarely.
