Abstract

The researchers used the descriptive correlation method. The subjects used in this study were 20% or 72 of the total population of first, second and third year students of Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology of De La Salle - Health Sciences Campus during the school year 2004-2005. Simple random sampling technique was used. Questionnaire was the instrument used. Statistical tools employed to treat the data were mean, standard deviation, F-test and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation. From the findings of the study, the researchers concluded the following: (1) Second year level has the highest number of respondents and male respondents are slightly greater than the female; (2) Most of the respondents possessed moderate level of self-concept; (3) Most of the respondents had a moderate level of involvement in extracurricular activities; (4) All respondents have a fair self-concept level regardless of the gender and year level; (5) All respondents have a fair level of involvement in extracurricular activities regardless of the gender and year level; (6) There was no significant relationship between self-concept and level of involvement in extracurricular activities.
