Abstract

The descriptive method of research was used in the study. A total of 288 radiologic technology students were chosen as respondents. In the selection of the sample, the researchers used the stratified random sampling. The researchers utilized a self-made instrument that helped to measure the level of involvement of the radiologic technology students in extra-curricular activities. Frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, analysis of variance, and t-test of unrelated samples were employed to analyze data. Based on the careful analysis of the gathered data, the researchers arrived at the following conclusions: (1) Majority of the respondents were 20 years old, male and third year; (2) Students are moderately involved in academic-related activities, however, they are involved in a limited extent to performing-arts activities, service-oriented activities and sports-related activities. The overall level of involvement of the radiologic technology students in extra-curricular activities is interpreted as involved to a limited extent. Therefore, few students have the interest and willingness to participate in the activities; (3) When grouped according to age, the respondents have the same level of involvement in academic-related activities, service-oriented activities and sport-related activities. On the other hand, respondents who are below 20 years old have a higher level of involvement in performing-arts activities as compared to those who are 20 years old and above. When grouped according to gender, the respondents have the same level of involvement in academic-related activities. On the other hand, the males have higher level of involvement in performing-arts, service oriented and sports-related activities than the females. When grouped according to year level, the respondents have the same level of involvement in academic-related activities, service-oriented activities and sport-related activities. The third year students have higher level of involvement than the other year levels in terms of performing-arts activities.
