Abstract
This study conducted to determine the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis deformities in the Greater Manila area. Specifically, this study made to determine the relationship between the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis deformities and age and sex, respectively. The study conducted in nine (9) selected hospitals within the Greater Manila area, used cluster random sampling, subjects taken totaled to eighty-two (82) patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Results showed that out of (82) rheumatoid arthritis patients, only 32 have visible rheumatoid arthritis deformities, based on this data, analysis, and conclusion formulated. Lastly, the authors recommend conducting another study to determine the effectiveness of some existing preventive measures undertaken by patients suffering from chronic rheumatoid arthritis.
