Abstract
The study employed a descriptive design using a survey technique and a self-made questionnaire distributed to 199 respondents, Filipino male children, ages 7-10 years old at Immaculate Conception Academy used simple quota sampling. The gathered data tallied, tabulated, and analyzed using percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Based on the results, the researchers concluded, (1) all children ages 7 to 10 years old had no difficulty in performing the procedures for strength in the hand. (2) All children had no difficulty in utilizing the dynamometer. (3) The grip strength values directly proportional to age. (4) The average grip strength for various age groups was 1.80 kilograms for 7 years old, then 3.50 kilograms for 8 years old and 4.50 to 7.0 kilograms for 9 and 10 years old. (4) This study provided to establish further studies on a nationwide scale that provide a more comprehensive standard value of grip strength for children.
