Abstract
The study was a descriptive study using questionnaires to gather data from respondents and used a dynamometer. A study conducted to determine the average grip strength of 20 years old physically normal Filipino male students of De La Salle-Emilio Aguinaldo College, using a dynamometer to compare the strength value obtained with the standard values based on a foreign standard. The result of the study showed the average grip strength of 20 years old normal male students of de la Salle University-Emilio Aguinaldo College was 30 kg. And the foreign standard sets the normal range at the lower limit, considering the limitations of the study, the researchers recommended a more profound study establishing Filipino grip strength in males, females, and children using a truly represented sample size and variables like height, build, age and type of testing instrument used controlled or likewise considered.
