Abstract
The researchers used descriptive design using the survey technique. A self-made questionnaire distributed to 70 CISAA basketball players chosen through simple quota sampling. The data from the questionnaire tallied, tabulated, and analyzed. Data gathered and interpreted using frequency percentage and mean. Lower extremity injuries were common in physical sports like basketball. In other countries, several studies conducted to determine the nature and rate of injuries among athletes of various sports. Such data used to strengthen training programs and designing safety equipment both for protective purposes. The authors made a similar study on Filipino secondary students of different schools. The results showed, comparable with foreign studies that the most common lower extremity injury among these basketball players was an ankle sprain, and other injuries were calf muscle strains and dislocation of the patella.
