Abstract

This study employed a descriptive design using a survey technique with self-made questionnaires distributed to 40 cerebral palsy patients at Elk's Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Center in Makati through simple quota sampling. The gathered data from the questionnaire tallied, tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted using frequency percentages. Based on the results, the researchers concluded (1) most of the respondents were male ages 5-10 years old, (2) the majority of the patients enrolled in specialized schools for cerebral palsy patients. The majority of the patients with a mild disability enrolled while all patients who have severe disabilities unenrolled. (3) The study focused on the physical, neurological, developmental, and educational status of the enrolled and the unenrolled cerebral palsy patients, varied in terms of the type of cerebral palsy, associated disabilities, level of development, and other neurologic disabilities in Elk's Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Center from June to September 1992.
