Abstract

This study employed a descriptive design using a survey sampling technique. A self-made English questionnaire aimed to know the educational structure and programs of Elks CP Center and Elsie Gaches Village for cerebral palsy pupils, its admission, and promotion policies, its problems and its method of teaching. Provided the results of additional information for both parents and teachers to initiate the development of the educational program and physical therapist's approach to cerebral palsy children. Questionnaires distributed to obtain information from the active teachers involving in the educating of cerebral palsy children in both centers. Problems in the program revealed a lack of teachers and motivation, secondary and tertiary programs, private sector and government support, student's attention and cooperation. The study countered this by giving referrals for rehabilitation, modification of teaching activities and decreasing of the student population. The researchers suggest more cooperation, between the teachers, administration, rehabilitation team, scholarship grants for teachers and students, home programs, parent education, and more government/NGO support.
