The researchers used a descriptive design consisted of 50 respondents with a diagnosed case of low back pain from the different affiliation centers, where the authors rotated in and included in the study. The survey instrument used pre-test and post-test questionnaires for a practice exam. The data gathered, tallied, tabulated, and analyzed and interpreted using frequency percentage and mean. Based on the results, the majority of the respondents were men and most of them were elementary graduates. Most of them were drivers. Elderly aged 61-70 year old were most frequently afflicting with low back pain and none of them got 100% in the post-test. An increase in scores observed in all areas during the post-test except on the proper way of working at a table. Based on the computed t value, the authors concluded the manual was effective in increasing the posttest scores of patients with low back pain. The authors recommended better illustrations made regarding areas such as reaching far and high objects and sitting. A verbal explanation of physical therapists regarding the contents of the manual highly recommended. The authors also recommended the process of analysis of data, the educational attainment of the respondents considered its influence on comprehension and immediate retention of the techniques.
