Abstract
Community-based rehabilitation is one basic approach in the implementation of basic rehabilitation to nearby rural communities. One of the important parts in social preparation is the disability survey which was conducted by the researchers. This descriptive study will be used by the College of PT in formulating an appropriate rehabilitation training program for the rural community health workers/ officials as well as serve the needs of the disabled population in the community. Data were collected by the researchers, together with the barangay health workers through house -to house survey using an interview schedule from 220 respondents were household heads with a total population of 1,077 in Pasong Kawayan I Gen. Trias chosen through simple quota sampling. The instrument were written in Filipino for easy comprehensibility. The data from the questionnaire was tallied, tabulated, and analyzed. Data were gathered and interpreted using frequency percentage and mean. On the basis of the data and the conclusion; a Community -Based -Rehabilitation Program at barrio Pasong Kawayan I, Gen. Trias, Cavite is what is needed since physical impairment is the leading cause of their disability. This will provide accessibility and enhance the effectivity of the CBR program for the disabled individuals and prevent the aggravation of the disability cases in their community. To assign any health personnel, to conduct seminars in health education, and to involve the participation of the school administration. A continuous study is recommended by the authors to further enhance the implementation of CBK program on the said community.
