Abstract
This study aims to design a comprehensive home program for a 17-month post-CVA patient with considerable deficits that hinder the efficient performance of his activities of daily living (ADL's). A patient who has adequately met the following inclusion criteria was chosen to be the subject of this study: (1.) has undergone physical therapy treatment sessions at Dr. Isagani M. Darvin Rehabilitation Unit (DIMDRU) and is currently involved in any rehabilitation program. (2.) with residual deficits. (3.) willing to participate in a thorough evaluation of present status and consider subsequent recommendations from the authors. (4.) After conducting a series of interview, evaluation procedures, and analysis of family support and home architectural set-up, the researchers found out that the patient experiences minimal to moderate degree of difficulty in the performance of certain aspects of ADL's and that his home situation prevents him in performing these activities efficiently and safety. A comprehensive home exercise program and suggestions on various environmental modifications were then provided.
