Abstract
The study aims to see the significance of Physical Therapy in the recovery of patient with Decompression Sickness. A comprehensive information about the disease, its causes, pathophysiology, symptoms and treatment is provided. Subjected from AFP Medical Center were selected, particularly those presenting with paralysis/paresis and have or are presently undergoing recompression therapy. Methods used for data gathering were use of PT records, progress monitoring of patient presently undergoing treatment and interview with the Diving Medicine Officers. Pertinent materials such as books, manuals and journals were utilized to have a clear understanding of the study. Problems commonly referred to PT were identified, as well as the modalities used in the treatment and the subsequent effects to meet the objective of the study.
