Abstract
The Philippine Board of Examination for Physical Therapy is conducted every year to measure one's competence to practice physical therapy as a profession. Passing the said examination would mean a license and eventually with good employment for a better future. Every year different batches take the examination and each of them show different profile. The 1996 Physical Therapy Board of Examination showed 51.2% passing. Because of these results we become curious of what could have brought this up. this prompted the researchers' interest to look into the possible correlation between Physical Therapy board examination with the academic performance during the physical therapy proper years and revalida grades. After studying 123 regular PT students of batch 1996, and using the Pearson's correlation r, we found out that there is a strong correlation between the performance in the PT board exam with academic performance and revalida grade.
