Abstract
This study was done in order to determine the characteristics of the clinic training program of the PT interns of Class '98-'99 in the Satellite Centers of DLSU-HSC. The subjects include the DLSU PT interns batch '98-'99 who has rotated at any one of the 5 satellite centers of DLSU-HSC for the months of April-September '98. They were given survey questionnaire and the data gathered shows: Case reporting and pre-post evals were the most consistent educational opportunities present in our satellite centers. PT in-patient service is another educational activity constantly present in satellite centers of DLSU-HSC. As to written requirements, all were present and consistently utilized by the satellite centers except for case studies which was inconsistent. All teaching methods were also present with verbal instructions by CS/ Staff being consistent 100% of the time in all 5 satellite centers. Other teaching methods used in the satellite centers include demonstration by CS, mini lecture, one on one precentorial, and students working with CS. Evaluation tools/ forms were all utilized in the satellite centers of DLSU-HSC. Both functional modalities and patients load were present at the DLSU-HSC satellite centers, additional functional modalities, however, were needed. The clinic exposure/ patient load in satellite centers were usually more than 2 patients. intern/day.
