Abstract
This is a descriptive study on Physical Complaints Among Bus Drivers of Biñan 4M Express Transportation Inc. The general objective of the study is to determine the most common physical complaints among the bus drivers of Biñan 4m Express Transportation Inc. The study was conducted at Biñan, Laguna. Data was gathered through questionnaire and answered by 52 subjects. Results of the study showed: Among the 52 respondents 49 qualified as subjects for the study. Majority belonged to the 40-50 age bracket, complete 14 hours per day work shifts and most have had 16-21 years work experience. the most common physical complaints among bus drivers of Biñan 4M Express Transportation Inc. are pain (73.47%) followed by swelling (14.29%), weakness (8.16%) and limitatin of motion (4.08%). the most common part of the body affected by pain was the back (44.44%) followed by the shoulder (22.22%). Complaints of weakness were most common at the knee (50%) proceeded evenly by the shoulder and foot (25%). Swelling was prevalent at the knee (42.85%), followed by foot (28.57%) and proportionately shoulder and back (14.28), followed by foot (28.57%) and proportionately by shoulder and back (14.28%). Lastly, limitation of motion was evident exclusively at the knee (100%).
