Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to describe the characteristics of the patients that comply and do not comply with home program in a CVA out-patient program. the factors that were considered were the patients sociodemographic profile, specificity, and complexity of the home program , the level of the patients dependence as to performing their exercises as well as their ADL.. the type of home program given, its frequency and to whom it was instructed were also determined. the study was conducted at DLSUMC-DPMR to their CVA out-patients during September 2000. Questionnaires were given to the patients and/or to their caregiver. The samples were divide into two groups , the compliant and the non-compliant group. the data collected was tabled then analyzed through percentages and came up with the conclusion that non-compliance of a patient depend on their level of dependence and availability of assist in case wherein they need one , also the type or form of instructions given and to whom it was given.
