Abstract

This research study was conducted to determine the difficulties experienced by DLSU-PT Interns Batch 2001 during thesis writing. Researchers utilized the descriptive method of research wherein, questionnaires were used to gather the necessary information. 208 regular PT Interns of DLSU-HSC Batch 2001 were selected but only 193 responded. Data gathered were tallied, analyzed , interpreted & classified into 4 group: A. Time Constraints B. Lack of expertise C. Attitude of researchers % D. Financial Contraints. Through this research study, the researchers found out that the 10 leading difficulties experienced by PT Interns Batch 2001 of DLSU-HSC during thesis writing according to frequency distribution are the following: Lack of common time; unavailability of some members: difficulty in choosing a thesis topic; lack of time in implementing research; inability to finish research on time; insufficient background on how to make a thesis; lack of available materials & sources/references; unwillingness to make research a priority; lack of interest, cooperation and initiative of members during the process of thesis writing and lack of funds. The researchers concluded that time constraints is the primary difficulty experienced by DLSU PT Interns Batch 2001 according to tis classification and this includes lack of common time, unavailability of some members, lack of time in implementation a research, inability to finish research on time and unavailability of research consultants/ thesis adviser. In the basis of foregoing findings & conclusions, the researchers would like to recommend the findings/ results of this study to the future researchers, the BSPT Interns, to know their priority % have a systematic % organized budgeting of time so that no important work will be left out.
