Abstract

This is a descriptive on the employment status of the DLSU-HSC College of PT Batch 1997-1999. This study aimed to determine the followings: The socio-demographic profile and the present employment status of the graduates. This study also aimed to determine wether the present occupation of the employed respondents were PT-related or not and the problem that the respondents encountered regarding seeking of employment. A total of 146 students were included in this study, consisting of 33% from batch 1997, 33% from batch 19988 , and 34% from bacth 1999. Data acquired were tabulated and analyzed descriptively. results of the study moved that there is still a relatively high rate of employment for batch 1997-1999 as compared to those employed. PT-related jobs make up the most of the occupation of the employed graduates. Majority of the respondents noted that the problems encountered as to seeking employments were limited job openings, lack of demand for the numerous PT graduates. the authors therefore conclude that there is still a relatively high rate of employment for batch 1997-1999 ass compared to that unemployed.
