Abstract
This study tried to determine the prevalence of flatfoot deformity among preschoolers at two daycare centers in salitran, dasmariñas, Cavite. It tried to identify the most common age, sex, weight as part of the socio demographic characteristics on preschoolers that may affect flatfoot. the family history and the developmental milestone of the preschoolers as to walking were also obtained. These were later analyzed to draw the difference between results. this study is descriptive in nature 216 preschoolers ages 3-6 years old in two daycare center were assessed based on evaluation procedure . Each of the subjects were inspected and observed and the data were tallied as to the age, sex and weight. form were also given to the subject to note the family history and the developmental milestone as to walking. The survey was conducted on the school with permission of the teachers. results of the study show that most males are affected with flatfoot rather than the females. Most of the subjects ages 5 were the ones affected with the deformity. A big chunk with normal weight have flatfoot deformity. A good number of the students were 11-12 months old when they first started walking and majority of the respondents has negative family history of flatfoot.
