Abstract
This was a study on the Prevalence, Severity and Risks of developing Musculoskeletal Symptoms among Pt interns at randomly selected affiliation centers of DLSU-HSC. The objectives were to determine the demographic profiles of PT interns according to gender and number of months of rotation among Pt interns that contribute to Work- related MSSs. to identify the common body area involved in work-related musculoskeletal Symptoms, to determine the Severity of wMSss among PT interns, to determine the most distressing Work-related risk factor among Pt interns and to determine the most distressing area in Work-related risk factors among pt interns at randomly selected affiliation centers of DLSU-HSC. The researchers used descriptive type of research . The data were gathered and analyzed through the use of questionnaires and frequency distribution respectively. Out of 144 subjects , 105 subjects the criteria. The most common body area involved in Work-related Musculoskeletal Symptoms according to gender wsas low back (95%). almost 65% of Pt interns experienced moderately severe WMSSs. the most distressing WmSSs among Pt interns was working in awkward or cramped position (93%). 59% of the population who were symptomatic were females and 41% of the subjects were males. 23% of subjects complained Posture or Position as the most distressing area of WMSSs. 100% of PT interns at randomly selected affiliation centers experienced WMSSs within at least 6 months period of clinical rotation.
