Abstract
This study sought to determine the prevalence of back pain among students using backpack of Dasmariñas, Cavite located in front of Kadiwa Wet Market. Data was gathered using survey questionnaires filled up by researchers. Height and weighing scales was also used. The students were measured and at the same time were subjected into inclusion criteria. Our of 500 respondents were qualified to the inclusion criteria. Out of 127 respondents, females outnumbered with 76 respondents who experienced back pain upon using backpack.
CONCLUSION: There is high prevalence of back pain among students of Dasmariñas Bagong Bayan Elementary School using back pack as evidenced by 60% prevalence rate.
