Abstract

This is a descriptive study that determines the Level of Satisfaction of De La Salle-Health Sciences Campus Physical Therapy Interns Batch 2007 with clinical supervisors. Subjects. Out of 109 De La Salle Health Science Campus physical therapy interns batch 2007, 80 composed the study population. Method. Using a 20 - item questions, physical therapy intern responded to questions concerning 5 domains of satisfaction, i.e. schedule and availability, center orientation, supervising skills and activities, interpersonal issues and performance feedback and internship activities. Mean score of each item was computed to determine the level of satisfaction of the physical therapy interns batch 2007 with their clinical supervisors. Results. There were a total of 80 respondents, 47 females and 33 males who were between ages of 19-25 years old. For 5 domains of satisfaction, Schedule and availability obtained a 4.32 total mean score that corresponds to very high satisfaction level of the respondents. Center orientation, on the other hand, obtained a total mean score of 4.33, which correspond to very high satisfaction level of the respondents with their clinical supervisors. For the supervising skills and activities of the clinical supervisors, the total mean score acquired was 4.03 that correspond to a high satisfaction level of the respondents. While interpersonal issues and performance feedback and internship activities attained a total mean score of 4.17 and 4.16 that also corresponds to a high satisfaction level. Conclusion. From the result of the study, the authors concluded that the respondents has overall high satisfaction with their clinical supervisors.
