Abstract

In this study, the researchers used a Descriptive Quantitative Cross-sectional survey research. The implementation was done in selected hospitals in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. The respondents of this study are the families of the children with disabilities participating in physical therapy. A survey questionnaire was utilized with five domains; Family Finances and Employment, Parental Mental and Physical Health, Family Relationships, Patient’s Psychological Health and Time Constraint. The pain decreased to no pain at all, cervical range of motion and shoulder motion produced increase and decrease in range of motion, respectively, and functional capacity improved as to a decrease in the NDI score. The researchers concluded that there was a positive change as to pain, range of motion, and functional capacity. The study concluded that the effects of the level of socio-economic status in their participation to Physical Therapy intervention were evaluated as yes, which means that socio-economic status is not often a factor that affects the participation to Physical Therapy intervention. For The family relationship, over-all health of the family, psychological health of the children with disabilities, time constraints experienced by the family, and its effect to their participation on Physical Therapy interventions and also the factors that influences the successful and non-successful outcomes of their participation in Physical Therapy intervention were interpreted as No, which means that it is the least that can affect the compliance of respondents to Physical Intervention.
