Abstract

The researchers used a quantitative type of research design. The questionnaire used was a checklist. This was the method used since the researchers explored and gained understanding of the Community-based Rehabilitation (CBR) particularly within the domains of health, education and livelihood on both of the communities that will be studied. The population included the head officers of Persons with Diasbility Affairs Office (PDAO) and the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in City of Dasmarians and of Municipality of Carmona, Cavite. SWOT analysis was uswed to evaluate the Strength, WEaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of CBR Program in each selected city and municipality. The result of SWOT matrix contrasted the results of the internal analysis (Strengths and weaknesses) and the external analysis (opportunities and threats) to define strategic fields of action. The application of a SWOT analysis was therefore instrumental in strategy formulation and selection. In accordance with the findings of the study, the researchers concluded that Community-based Rehabilitation in the City of Dasmarinas and Municipality of Carmona have the same strengths and weaknesses. More improvement of CBR programs in terms of health, education and livelihood programs were the present opportunities in the City of Dasmarinas and Municipality of Carmona. If left unimproved it could impose a threat to the community.
