Abstract

The participants of the study are those students who took the refresher course and agreed to answer 15 minutes’ interview questions through phone call. The conversation of the researchers and the participants of the study were recorded and transcribed. The study utilized thematic analysis as a qualitative analytical method to interpret the collected data. Thematic analysis is done by categorization of verbal data and an iterative process of coding and classifying data to develop categories and themes. Based on the result, the themes that emerged from the responses of the five participants of the study that affect thesatisfaction on the quality of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute Physical Therapy Refresher Course Program are learning platform, learning content, teaching strategy, scheduling, cost, and policies. Limitations were encountered by the researchers since the clients’ database of the special program unit is outdated and unavailability of the participants of the study to answer the 15 minutes’ interview questions. Another limitation that may affect the results of the study is the limited journals and references regarding the factors affecting satisfaction on the quality of refresher courses. The researchers recommend that Special Unit Program to find ways to constantly update the contact information of the clients; future researchers should conduct a face to face interview rather than conducting a phone interview; and lastly the researchers would like to suggest doing a study on the level of satisfaction on the quality of refresher program in the Philippines.
