Abstract

The research design utilized is a qualitative descriptive type of research. The researchers utilized the snowball sampling technique until ad total of 12 participants were gathered. The study took place in the third floor of DLSMHSI library within the discussion rooms for the focus group discussion and video calls for one on one interview through a social media platform. The participants were only qualified to partake if they were able to meet the inclusion criteria that was set the by researchers. Once the participants were selected and invited, they were asked to participate in either a focus group discussion or one-on-one interview. Both of the focus group discussion and one on one interview were conducted by a specialized professional moderator. Voice recorders, member checks and transcriptions were utilized to ensure the accuracy and validity of the responses of the participants. As for the result, five (5) major themes form the discussion and interview emerged, (3) pre-existing themes based on the literature: (1) personal related factors, (2) Patient related factors, (3) Practice environment related factors and an additional new two emerging themes which were: (4) PT-patient relationship, (5) Patient Centered Treatment that can be concluded as the factors affecting the clinical decision making among novice physical therapies.
