Abstract

The type of study/research design that is used is quasi-experimental study that helped in determining the effects of client education program on knowledge about back care education among call center agents from multiple locale (Cavite, Taguig, and Makati). Purposive sampling was used in selection of participants. This research also implied inclusion criteria to obtain the precise results for this study. Inclusion are those call center agents that do not have any seminar about proper back care. The respondents were 22 call center agents from different companies around Cavite, Taguig, and Makati which was taken at Taguig and Imus Cavite. A physical therapist was brought in to help in explaining the topics to provide knowledge about back care as to proper exercises, proper ergonomics, risk factors, and proper posture among call center agents. During Pre-test seminar, questionnaire and booklet were given to determine the effect of back care education on knowledge.5 days after, post-test was held and respondents were provided with a questionnaire that had the same sets but with different arrangements. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted by a statistician with the use of the frequency distribution, paired t-test, and percentage difference. Based on the facts gathered and analyzed, the researchers found out that most of the respondents showed a slight positive effect on knowledge about back care as to proper exercises, proper ergonomics, risk factors, and proper posture after the seminar-workshop.
